64 Years. One Remarkable Legacy. One Twitchell Original. ❤️🧵

After 64 years, 7 months, and 18 days, Carlos Hodges has retired from Twitchell Technical Products—the longest-serving employee in the company’s history. Carlos began his Twitchell journey on December 13, 1961, working his way from Universal Winder to Loom Fixer, Head Fixer, and ultimately the Sample Department, where he spent nearly three decades applying his mechanical expertise and craftsmanship to product development.

For Carlos, the secret to nearly 65 years with one company was simple: “I was doing something I liked to do.” His dedication, quiet leadership, and willingness to teach made him not only a trusted craftsman, but a role model to generations of Twitchell employees. “His legacy is not just the fabrics he’s helped create or the years he’s given Twitchell,” said Gena Webb, VP of Product & R&D. “His legacy is the people he’s influenced and the standard he’s shown us every day.”

As Carlos begins his next chapter—fishing chair ready and all—his impact will remain woven into Twitchell for generations. As CEO Abhi Agrawal shared, “A company can have more than a century of history, but its legacy is ultimately defined by the people who build it.” Carlos’s story is more than an extraordinary career—it is a powerful testament to what makes Twitchell, well, Twitchell: A company built on innovation and excellence, and strengthened by the remarkable people who turn a workplace into a legacy.
