Twitchell is excited to announce that it has expanded its solar fabric offering for exterior uses with the Nano 97 fabric. Twitchell’s Nano 97 is ideal for any exterior application that requires U.V. protection and year-round durability.
The Nano 97 is a 2x2 basket weave PVC-coated polyester fabric that is manufactured with Twitchell’s signature TEXTILENE® core yarn. It’s specifically designed to reduce heat transfer and solar glare to help maintain your view. TEXTILENE® can protect both indoor-outdoor furnishings and is flame and fade resistant.
Joining the Nano 95 and Nano 99 fabrics, the Nano 97 is fabricated with a lightweight .014’’ core diameter yarn and a strong 420 denier polyester core. The Nano 97 fabric is ideal for those harsh South and West facing elevations because of its ability to reduce solar heat gain, while transforming any space into a comfortable outdoor oasis. Twitchell’s unique fabric construction woven with PVC coated warp (TEXTILENE™) and aramid yarn (yarns that make ballistic proof materials) make OmegaTEX™ the right choice for any fixed or retractable hurricane screen application that can be used 365-days a year without the worry of degradation caused by the sun’s harmful U.V. rays. In addition to its strength and U.V. resistance, OmegaTEX™ offers protection from wind, rain, dust and debris, insects, and may even lower your energy bills.
