In a post COVID-19 era, cleaning and safety should be a top priority. With Textilene®, our fabrics are chemical resistant and anti-microbial so they stand up to heavy use and a variety of conditions; they have excellent abrasion, tear, fade and stain resistance.

Learn more about Textilene’s® uses and care below:

Mildew/Bacteria Resistance

  • Inherent biocides are used to make our products mildew resistant.
  • All of our fabrics are also bacteria resistant.
  • The biocides will not wipe or wear off they are part of the fabric.

Chemical Resistant/Cleaning

  • Textilene® is easy to clean. Most stains will just wipe off. For tough stains, our fabrics may be cleaned with bleach.
  • Hospital cleaners such as VitalOxide and Hydrogen Peroxide-based cleaners are useful for Textilene® fabrics.
  • Textilene® fabric is woven from polyvinyl chloride-coated polyester core yarns. Textilene® with its proprietary polyvinyl coating, provides excellent abrasion, tear, fade, soil, and chemical resistance. This exceptional coating has been formulated to provide maximum chemical resistance by prudently selecting optimal plasticizers, stabilizers, and color additives.
  • Textilene® fabric is resistant to a wide range of inorganic acids and alkalis. It resists many corrosive inorganic chemicals. The polyvinyl chloride coating provides excellent water resistance and low water absorption. It has been shown that most oils, alcohols, aliphatic hydrocarbons, and household detergents do not affect polyvinyl chloride. The coating also resists attacks from oxygen and ozone. The fabric is designed to resist the transfer of most types of indigo dye.
  • To clean all Textilene® Brand Fabric, sponge with a solution of one cup of mild detergent with one cup of household bleach in three gallons of water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and air-dry completely. Treat all stains as soon as possible.

I have pine sap drips on my lawn furniture which has Testilene seats and backs. I have not been able to remove it. Please advise on a product that may work. Linda
